2017 Ag + Art Tour

The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free self-guided tour of over 80 farms and sites located in eleven counties. See the art of hundreds of South Carolina Artists and listen to regional music throughout the month of June.

On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, 2017, you are invited to take a trip down a country road and explore the agriculture and artistic heritage of Horry County.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to see first-hand where your food comes from, watch artists in action and purchase their works, dance to the melodies of bluegrass and folk songs, and learn more about rural life. The Tour is a special opportunity to see how your food comes to market and learn about the creative community in rural Horry County.

The Conway Farmers Market is a part of the Waccamaw Market Cooperative’s regional food system. At this location, you can find fresh and local vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, cheeses, honey, baked goods, and handcrafted art.  

L.W Paul Living History Farm

Visitors to the Farm will have the opportunity to sample the everyday farm and domestic life in Horry County from 1900 -1955. Guests on this working farm will be able to observe activities that would have been commonplace on traditional family farms.

Visit our greenhouse where we do what we love to do, which is to plant, propagate, and raise most of our own food. We specialize in cultivating a rare and unique selection of plants, flowers, culinary herbs and ornamental herbs.

Traviana Farm

Traviana Farm is a horse farm with 8 horses. During the tour cart rides, leadline rides, and English demonstrations will be available.

  • Blacksmith Demonstrations with Keith Gunter

  • Soapmaking Demonstrations with Jo Ann Gunter
  • Visiting artists Ulrike Powell/Alcohol Ink, Mixed Media, and Tara Hunter/Painting, drawing, wood burning.

The Museum features a variety of materials from old tools and photographs to miniatures of industries such as those producing tar and turpentine. Exhibits include farming tools and implements, household items and clothing, and wildlife specimens and photographs.

Special Event:

  • Traditional bluegrass concert by the Morris Brothers Saturday, June 3 at 1 PM.

    Do you all haveclical artusts and such? I make handmade pottery; berry bowls, french butter bells, coffee mugs, numerous pieces… I am interested in this venue. Could you please send me detailed information. Thank you,
