Call to Artists & Art Lovers to Gather in Conway

Artist, vintage, and handmade vendors are welcome to apply for a 10 x 10 space. Artisan demonstrations are encouraged.

The new Indie Market on Laurel is part of the exciting resurgence of art and music experiences that are bringing visitors to Downtown Conway, SC. On this evening in downtown enjoy the fun of street performers along with craft beer and live music by Steady Hand String Band and Gravy Crockett.

The Market opens at 2 PM and closes at 9 PM, April 2nd on Laurel Street between 2nd & 3rd Ave in downtown Conway, followed by the conclusion of the Muse on the Waccamaw Songwriting Contest at Conway Glass.

All About the Muse

The Muse on the Waccamaw showcases the best local and regional songwriting talent. Conway's local establishments are hosting the contest. Songwriters are judged on criteria such as lyrical content, melody, stage presence, and performance.

Round 3 of the songwriting contest is Thursday, March 10, 2016, 6:30 pm at The Bottle Shop, 1015 4th Ave, Conway, South Carolina, 29526.

In celebration of Youth Art Month, a glass blowing field trip is planned in March for the Kids Create! art classes. Students ages 7-12. Free.

First Saturday Glass Blowing Demos

See local glass blowers create colorful bowls, vases, and sculpture from molten 2150 degree glass. On March 5th, you can learn about the ancient craft of glass blowing. Everyone is welcome! Demos are 10 am - 4 pm and held in a historic, downtown warehouse at Conway Glass, 209 Laurel Street, Conway, SC.
