  • CREATE! Conway Awarded SC Arts Commission Grant

CREATE! has been awarded an Operating Support for Small Organizations Grant by the South Carolina Arts Commission for the 2015 - 2016 fiscal year. The support will enable CREATE! to continue to build arts programming in Horry County.

CREATE! equips and empowers regional artists with the tools and opportunities they need to support their artistic careers. The organization promotes public engagement in the arts through outreach to forge meaningful partnerships and implement innovative strategies.

"The South Carolina Arts Commission Grant will enable CREATE! to continue its positive impact on the community. The arts enrich our community and help to make it more livable and vibrant, our programs meet those goals." said Barbara Streeter, President of CREATE! Conway.

Local residents can see how the Arts Commission Grant and local funds are benefiting CREATE! Conway by attending or volunteering at one of our events, classes or meetings.

    Art Events

A thriving cultural scene is good for the economy and helps to build a prosperous community. The arts can attract visitors who not only spend their money on the events themselves, but also contribute to Conway’s economy by dining in restaurants, lodging in hotels and bed & breakfasts, and purchasing gifts and services in our community.

We initiate programs that are designed to foster arts and culture and tap into the resulting economic benefits.
