Presented by Create! Conway, The Muse on the Waccamaw Songwriting Contest Winner will receive a hand-blown glass trophy from Conway Glass, a full day recording package from Southern Harmony Recording Studio and a featured slot for the Live Oaks Art & Music Festival in October. 

The Muse on the Waccamaw showcases the best local and regional songwriting talent. Songwriters will be judged on criteria including lyrical content, melody, stage presence, and performance. 

Songwriters and industry professionals will judge each round, with the top two songwriters from each round, plus two wildcard entrants, earning a spot in the finals.  

The finals, held in conjunction with the Laurel Street Indie Market, will be a single elimination competition with the winner receiving a hand-blown glass trophy from Conway Glass, a full day recording package from Southern Harmony Recording Studio and a featured slot for the Live Oaks Art & Music Festival in October. Other contestants will receive an array of prizes from local and regional merchants.
