Create! Conway presents the 2017 Muse on the Waccamaw Songwriting Contest. Sponsored by The Warehouse, Southern Harmony Recording Studio, and Conway Glass. The contest showcases the best local and regional songwriting talent. Songwriters are judged on criteria including lyrical and musical content.
The Muse on the Waccamaw consisted of performances in four preliminary rounds. The final round is Sunday, August 6th at the Warehouse in Conway starting at 3:00 in the afternoon.
Songwriters and industry professionals judged each round, the winning songwriter from each round, plus four wildcard entrants, earned a spot in the finals. There is no cover for anyone wanting to come and watch some of the best songwriters in the area perform at the August 6th Contest Finals.

The finals are a single elimination competition with the winner receiving a hand-blown glass trophy from Conway Glass, a recording package from Southern Harmony Recording Studio and a featured slot for the Live Oak Art & Music Festival in October. Other contestants will receive an array of prizes from local and regional merchants.
